The 5 circles in this artwork represent the 5 elements i.e. air, water, fire, earth and space. They also represent the 5 senses both physical as well as spiritual. The red circle represents the Consciousness or “atma’, which connects all these elements and joins them together to gain experience and meaning in life. I have intentionally left these circles blank, as I feel that every person has his/her own circles of life which keep changing and evolving with experiences through time…but it is our Consciousness which helps us to connect the dots and keep going… This entire circle of life is always connected to the larger picture i.e. creation, nature- hence the floral background representing the same takes precedence over our circles of life and they have also been made to enter the circles as it is important to include nature as a part of us.
